“Designing recording tools for people that make music is very rewarding. It’s been 30 years, and I still love what I do.”

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS!

For over three decades, Marquette Audio Labs has been a leading provider of new professional audio equipment, vintage audio gear, and the gold standard in custom racking of vintage modules.

Custom Racking

Classic, Benchmark, Bulletproof Rack Solutions.

At Marquette Audio Labs, we are passionate about music and dedicated to shaping the future of the recording industry. Since our founding in 1994, we have specialized in crafting custom racking solutions that blend functionality, durability, and aesthetics, framing the vintage modules our clients have invested in.

When we started, vintage recording equipment was not just the best option; it was the only option for world-class pro audio recording gear. Unlike today, where multiple companies offer high-quality gear, few meet the old-school analog standards that true aficionados appreciate. That is why Marquette is still racking modules from Telefunken/Siemens, Neve, Langevin, Calrec, SSL, WSW, Neumann etc...

Our racks are designed for modern recording studios, whether in a large commercial space or overdubbing in a home studio where achieving a big studio sound is essential. With over 30 years of experience and invaluable feedback from our clients, we create solutions tailored to audio professionals and vintage gear enthusiasts alike.

Using high-quality materials and innovative designs, we build racks that not only secure your equipment but also enhance your workflow with an artistic, well-crafted statement piece for your studio. Our mission is to elevate your studio experience by combining precision with creativity, ensuring that your setup is as inspiring as it is efficient. As well as provide a statement piece of gear for your studio that frames and highlights you vintage modules.

We provide insights on timelines, costs, and the best options to make your job easier and your musical production the best it can be.

Marquette Audio Labs custom racks are handcrafted in California, USA— just as we always have and always will.

"For over the last 40 years… I have done work in the S.F. Bay Area and L.A., ranging from gutting and rebuilding the control room at the then new Coast Records (in S.F.) to designing and building a private home recording studio in Los Angeles. I have built a portable Iso booth (for Visual Interactive, S.F.), a Drum room for Ring Productions (Oakland, CA..), helped build California Recording Institute (S.F.) and I have consulted for many home studio projects, like L.A. area private studio, built from the foundation up, for Session Musician / Recording Artist Lyle Workman.

To meet in person, I would prefer S.F. and L.A. areas only. But there is always video calls and the phone. Also I would like to take on projects on the smaller scale, the world class studios are to time consuming and better left to the "big dogs". I like specializing in the smaller studio projects, remodels and home studios… and these days prefer consolation over building. As well I can also provide one on one recording equipment consultation. If you are building a new studio and or need help finding the tools to make your work better or life easier we can help provide options and suggestions of how to get the best results with the budget you have.”
